Oh, hey there 2017. Didn’t see you sneak up on me.
The older I get, the faster time seems to fly by. 2016 was a big year for a lot of reasons, and I can’t help but reminisce on some of the events that helped to make it such a great year. Here are a few of the highlights:
■ I was offered (and accepted) a new role as BIM Manager at Array Architects where I am able to explore my passion for design and technology
■ I celebrated my one-year wedding anniversary with my wife (though we were together for 9.5 years prior to getting married, but who’s counting?)
■ I made a triumphant and long overdue return to Barcelona, Spain (where I studied abroad in 2009) and made a pit-stop in Paris, France along the way
■ I geeked out for a week straight in Las Vegas for Autodesk University and made some great acquaintances as a result
So the question remains: could 2017 be a better year than 2016 was? It all comes down to perspective, and I think yes. I am grateful for all I experienced in the last year, and as one more chapter closes and another begins, I feel confident tackling challenges head-on and am excited at the prospect of the new adventures that will inevitably come my way.
